Building a Brand That Lasts — Baltic Bespoke
There's a particular satisfaction in working with a company that knows exactly what it is.
When Baltic Bespoke came to us for their brand identity, that clarity made everything easier. A Liverpool-based business building luxury custom garden rooms, annexes and outdoor living spaces — they had a strong proposition, a growing reputation, and an audience who expected quality at every touchpoint. The brief was to make sure the brand reflected that.
The identity we built is anchored in restraint. A deep navy — the kind that reads as authoritative without tipping into corporate — paired with clean typography and a wordmark that holds its own whether it's embossed on stationery or rendered on a hoarding. Nothing decorative for its own sake. Every decision tied back to the product: crafted, considered, built to last.
What's followed has been the less glamorous — and arguably more important — part of the work: consistency. A brand identity is only as good as its application, and in a business that spans a website, social media, signage, sales materials and on-site branding, the opportunities for drift are constant. Over the years I've worked with Baltic Bespoke to keep things honest: the same typefaces, the same colour values, the same logic applied to each new touchpoint as the business has grown.
It's worth saying plainly — brand consistency isn't about rigidity. It's about trust. When a potential customer sees Baltic Bespoke's branding on Instagram, then lands on the website, then receives a proposal, the coherence across all of those moments tells them something about how the company operates. Attention to detail. Pride in craft. Standards that don't slip.
For anyone commissioning a designer — freelance or otherwise — this is part of what you're paying for. Not just the logo, but the thinking that makes it work long after launch.
Baltic Bespoke are based in Liverpool and operate across the North West. You can see their work at balticbespoke.co.uk.
